Stephanie Chase's repertoire is nourished by more than 60 Concertos for violin and orchestra. In his catalog of recordings there is the world's first recording of Beethoven's Violin Concerto (on Cala Records, with his own cadences). Born in Illinois, she had her mother as her first violin teacher. At the age of seven, he began studies in New York with Sally Thomas at the Juilliard School, a year later he made his debut with the Chicago Symphony and later embarked on national tours as a soloist and recitalist, making his debut at Carnegie Hall at the age of eighteen. . He studied privately with the legendary Belgian violinist Arthur Grumiaux, and chamber music at the Marlboro Festival.
Chase has also performed in the dual role of violin soloist and conductor and is a frequent guest at festivals such as Bravo! Vail, Kuhmo, Bargemusic and Caramoor. His violin was built in Venice in 1742 by Petrus Guarnerius, with a bow made by Dominique Peccatte.
